POEMS

Please don't expect John Keats. This is far from classic poetry. Most of it was written to either express frustration, to tease someone, or just for fun. Some was written in a time of deep emotion.

Other Sheep, for example, is my commentary on the hypocritical practice of religion. Ode was written to tease a fellow elementary school principal whose administrative philosophy was, from my point of view, overly autocratic. We remained friends, by the way. Apart was written in an attempt to explain our differing views on religious practice to my minister father whom I very much admired. It worked. It healed our relationship.

Other poems, I think, will explain themselves.
