Things that to most folks seem so sure
For me can be a bit obscure.
I never try to take a view
That’s controversial. I just do.
But faith’s a goal and not a goad
So, like Frost, I take a different road.

But I sometimes wish I could believe
Like those around me. It would relieve
The stress you know is sure to come
When what you think can tend to run
Slightly different from those you love
And they see you as just above
Or just below, at least apart
And that distance tends to break your heart.
