The Commodore’s Clock

INTRODUCTION

This adventure occurs within the realm, and under the auspices, of King Justin 3 of Glorious Repute. Sometimes known as Justin III. Tradition dies hard in the Elven Kingdom. Very important courtiers, of the conservative stripe, ensure that tradition does not go quietly, if at all. Justin doesn’t think the actual number is all that big a deal.

In any event, the Elven Dominions include Humans, Elves, Tommy Knockers (AKA Bwca), Trollians and Riffians. The Riffians tried to invade the Elven Dominions Beyond the Stars and were soundly defeated. I don’t think you necessarily need to read the entire series to read this story. I've tried to make that possible, but then I also hope you’ll read the entire series, so there’s that.

The Commodore’s Clock, pictured above, belongs to the author. It is of French manufacture by Japy Frères circa 1820 and is a silk string movement. The figure is the Marquis de Lafayette.
