1. Hope is the phantom,
2. That I chase each day.

4. Hope is the whisper,
5. That I say when I pray.

7. It’s all I have to give,
8. And I choose to give it away.

10. I give my hope to you,
11. Each and every day.

13. Feel free to keep it,
14. All to yourself.

16. Feel free to give it away,
17. Today and every day.

19. But, no matter whatever you say or do,
20. Never let it slip away from you.

22. Hope that you can,
23. Hope that you will,
24. Hope that you do,
25. Hope that you don’t,
26. Hope that you won’t,
27. Hope that you can’t.
28. Just don’t lose.
