You Are by Ellie Kan

You Are...

You are like a ruby red rose

Beautiful, but with small thorns

Silently waiting for the right girl,

To come along and pick you

You are like an open book,

Your secrets lie there

Out and in front for all to see

Exposing you like you’ll never know

You are like a heart rate monitor

Always on course, whatever you’re doing

Honest and protective,

And constant

You are like a sports fan

Full of hope and determination

Even at the sight of defeat

Always ready for whatever comes your way

 You are like only you,

The one I care for the most

Always friendly to anyone you meet

To me, you are perfection.
